Christian Movement for Great Britain. What if we form a Government?
The Christian Movement for Great Britain will work to bring Christian ethics and morality back to the running of Great Britain. We intend this nation to regain the respect of all peoples of the World. To become once more a country that others look up to, as a beacon of hope and justice. To once more deserve the name of GREAT Britain.
We will strive to eliminate corruption in public office, to ensure that Members of Parliament serve their country, not themselves. To ensure that Government is honest, open, truly democratic and not oppressive.
Policies:
Will a Christian Democratic Government be a theocracy?
No, our Christian faith provides a 'moral compass', guiding us in all decisions. As an analogy, a ship in stormy water needs a compass*, to enable its crew to steer a correct course. That compass is not in charge of the ship, but the crew will ignore it at their peril, they may hit rocks and sink.
Christian Britain, since our forefathers, at great personal cost, achieved democracy, has been a Christian Democracy. But for half a century, Governments have ignored the Christian moral compass, hence the mess we are in now. Not quite a sinking ship, but the dangers are there, for all to see.
Family and Culture: We will repeal all legislation, enacted over many years, attacking or reducing the role of family life. The family and the institution of marriage will be returned to their rightful place at the heart of our society.
We will repeal laws and regulations that have attacked the position of Churches at the heart of our communities. We will outlaw rules and regulations that attack the rights of individuals to show their faith. Including Council bye-laws, regulations etc. and similar corporate rules.
Education and Society: We will ensure that every individual has the best chance to achieve their full potential, within the framework of a just and fair legal system. That every effort is made to reduce crime and all the causes of crime. To ensure that every citizen, whatever their faith or social background, is treated fairly and equally.
We will ensure that our educational standards are the highest possible and universally available. That professional standards in all walks of life are improved and that institutional incompetence is eliminated.
Defence and Security: We will ensure that our Armed Forces are properly equipped, to protect British interests wherever the need arises. That their equipment and manpower are adequate for the difficult tasks they face. That British lives are not put at risk by poor equipment or management failings. That the high ethical standards we expect are maintained throughout the Services.
Finance and Banking. We will enact laws to ensure banking institutions operate ethically and fairly.

A return to Christian values in Government and public office. Stopping attacks by Government on Christian beliefs, freedoms and ethics. Repealing all legislation that has sidelined Christianity and Christian people.
Repealing all legislation that has attacked and eroded the Biblical Christian family values that formed the core of our society. Stop promoting single parent "families" at the expense of true working Families.
Outlawing all rules, practices etc. that attack the freedom of Christians to show their faith. Such as the wearing of religious symbols etc. Outlaw similar discrimination against other faiths.
The blasphemous Foreign Office memo, about the Pope, shows the poor taste, insensitivity and lack of respect from much of our current establishment. It is insufficient for the Foreign Office to distance itself from the remarks, Department Heads are responsible for the actions of subordinates. (The buck stops here).
Whilst confirming the illegality of any form of discrimination, we deplore the repeal of section 28 of the Local Government Act 1988. We believe it should be restored and strengthened. To protect our young people from the promotion or teaching of homosexuality in schools.
We demand proper support for our Armed Services, working and fighting overseas to protect our British way of life. To ensure that they have sufficient manpower and first class equipment. Such as fully armoured vehicles, effective body armour etc., so their lives are not put in unnecessary danger.
With improved communications, to protect our soldiers from attacks and killing by our allies.
